La Page (Issues no. 11, 16, 27 and 28)
La Page was a daily, one-sheet, folded newspaper produced in Paris in 2002. Layla Curtis made an artwork The United European Union 2002 for La Page which was printed in four parts across four issues. The artwork, a collaged map of Europe hand-constructed from fragments of European road atlasses, creates a cartography with new juxtapositions and possibilities. In this fictional geography Rome is a very short drive up the motorway from Frankfurt, and Oxelösund archipelago lies just south the English seaside town of Margate.
