Stern Tent, 2019
 
In 2019, Anna Chrystal Stephens took over the Edgework Instagram feed, posting images which reflected upon her varied domestic living situations. She looked back at the strategies she has adopted to live cheaply and sustainably during periods of itinerant urban communal living, nomadic life on the water, and during her recent transition to living in a small-town terraced house.
 
Stern Tent, is part of a collection of photographs of stern hoods and boat coverings on the Kennet & Avon canal. Stephens writes: ‘Shelter and protection from the elements is a daily issue for boat dwelling folk and solutions range from outsourced high tech solutions to DIY with rudimentary materials and ingenuity.’
